When a Formula is selected in the Formula Table and the Show Herbs button is clicked, the Herb Table appears with the Herbs from the Formula displayed at the top of the list. The above example shows the Herbs from Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia.

  • The far left field, Matching Text, lists the Formula name for all the Herbs in the Formula.
  • The remaining data fields will be the ones that you have previously set for the Herb Table.

This command is useful for understanding an herbal Formula by studying the properties and functions of each ingredient. When you understand how a Formula works based upon the individual Herbs, you will be better able to tailor formulas to the needs of a specific client.
