The Syndrome Table search is especially useful in analyzing clinical cases. If a specific Syndrome (pattern) is suspected, the symptoms and signs that are present and which are common to that Syndrome may be entered as items for a search. The search results may reveal other Syndromes that share these same symptoms and signs, thus aiding you in differentially assessing the Syndromes actually present. Comparison of Syndromes sharing the entered set of symptoms and signs may suggest additional questions that distinguish among the possibilities.

The above example reveals that the presence of either white/clear mucus or yellow mucus and the presence of either dark or light-colored urine will help to distinguish between the possibilities of Cold Phlegm Blocking Lungs and Hot Phlegm Blocking Lungs.
