The above display shows the Syndrome Table Search dialog which allows you to perform searches on the Syndrome Table, which is similar in layout and function to the Herb Table.

  • Multiple symptoms may be entered into the dialog box to create a search for the Syndromes that best match these symptoms. The above display shows the Possibilities menu for RESP (Respiration) symptoms.

  • The Possibilities menu helps you choose search expressions without guessing and avoids missed searches due to terminology or spelling differences.

  • Symptoms, clinical signs, and other Syndrome-related data are classified into a number of categories (fields) to make searching for clinical data easier. Symptoms and signs are broken down into the following categories:

    • All Symptom/Signs
    • SYST (Systemic)
    • RESP (Respiratory)
    • INTAK (Intake - appetite, thirst)
    • OUTFL (Outflow - bowels, urine, misc. discharges)
    • PAIN
    • SENS (Sensory)
    • SLEEP
    • MOTN (Neuromotor)
    • SPCH (Speech)
