20030912: Upgrades

There have been improvements in content, behavior of windows, color-coding, minor bug fixes, and indexing of content since the first versions were released several years ago. Following is a history of changes that have been made:

  • 2.0.6: Corrected/expanded the bulleted items in ahr/at-orgrape.html
  • 2.0.6: Added hidden "outflX" field to pt-db/3os148.lv-inv-sp.html and 3os149.lv-inv-st.html files to allow distinguishing these patterns better in TCM Herbal Tutor.
  • 2.0.6: Added explicit "base target=" command to all files, to avoid ambigous interpretation of anchors errors in Internet Explorer 5.0.
  • 2.0.6: Mandarin equivalents moved outside of links for herb and formula cross-references in Cases Database and TCM Database Browsers.
  • 2.0.6: Added Mandarin to formula cross-references in Cases Database.
  • 2.0.6: Added new Case Browser links for each type of subset of cases - by case analysis type and by primary herbal categories used.
  • 2.0.5: Added Chinese-character listing option of syndromes, herbs, and formulas by category.
  • 2.0.5: Added cross-reference links to the case studies in the Clinical Case Database.
  • 2.0.5: Added cross-reference links to "Caution" field for "Herbs" and "Formulas" in TCM Database.
  • 2.0.5: Corrections to definitions of: Interior-Heat-Excess, Congealed Heart Blood, Cold Phlegm Block Lungs.
  • 2.0.4: Reduced the number of different windows; consolidated into one main window plus _blank windows for misc. material.
  • 2.0.4: Allow direct links from Database "browsers" to main Database window.
  • 2.0.4: Updated and simplified the help and tutorial files.
  • 2.0.4: xml-style tags added to delimit key database fields, standardizing export to Herbal Tutor.
  • 2.0.3: Background colors changed.
  • 2.0.3: Installation instruction files simplified.
  • 2.0.3: Minor text corrections, addition of links to Syndrome Browser from syndrome category listings.

TCM Herbal Tutor:

  • 3.0.4: Help files expanded and updated, including a quick-help series of screen shots that provide an overview of the program's major features.
  • 3.0.4: Installation procedure simplified.
  • 3.0.4: Java virtual machines for Windows and for Macintosh are now included on the CD-ROM, eliminating need to download from Apple or Sun's website.
